1. Log in to Your SiteGround Account
Start by logging into your SiteGround account. Go to SiteGround and click on the “Login” button at the top right corner. Enter your username and password to access your account dashboard. If you do not have a SiteGround account, you will need to purchase one.

2. Navigate to the Email Section Under Site Tools
Once logged in, navigate to the “Websites” tab in the top menu. Select the website for which you want to create the email address. Then, click on the “Site Tools” button associated with that website.

3. Create a New Email Account
In the Site Tools panel, find the “Email” section on the left-hand sidebar. Click on “Accounts” under the Email section.

- Select your domain from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the desired email prefix (e.g., info, support, your first name, etc.)
- Create a strong password for your email account. SiteGround provides a strength meter to help ensure your password is secure. Include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Select “Create.”
Example: If your domain is example.com and you want an email for customer inquiries, you might create support@example.com. You can route multiple email addresses to the same Inbox using what is called a “Forward.” We cover that process in step 6.
4. Store Email Server Settings (Optional)
OPTIONAL: Depending on your unique situation, you may need to access your email through an email client (like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail). If so, you may need the incoming and outgoing server settings. While you are in the email section of SiteGround, copy the following information for when you’re ready for this step:
- Go to the “Mail Configuration” tab within the “Accounts” section.

- Click “Manual Configuration” to copy the details of your new email.

- SiteGround provides detailed instructions and the necessary server settings for various email clients. Set these details aside until you’re ready to use them.
5. Access Webmail and Send a Test Email
To test your new Inbox, SiteGround offers a built-in webmail client. To access it:
- Return to the “Accounts” section.
- Click on “Log Into Webmail,” beneath “Actions” (to the right to your new email account).

- Log in using your new email address and new password.

- Send a quick email to yourself or a friend to make sure the email is working properly, which is totally the most satisying part.
- You can use this method of accessing and sending email as a backup, but we recommend using Outlook or Gmail for better usability. Here, we explain how to connect your SiteGround email with your Gmail account and how to connect your SiteGround email with Outlook.
6. Configure Email Forwarders (Optional)
OPTIONAL: If you want to forward emails from your new business address to another email account, you can set up an email forwarder.
