Email management is important for any business, and Microsoft Outlook offers a comprehensive platform for this purpose. Connecting your SiteGround email to Outlook allows you to manage your business emails while leveraging Outlook’s robust features. This guide provides a detailed process for integrating your SiteGround email with Microsoft Outlook.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook:

  • Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer. If this is your first time setting up Outlook, you will be prompted to add an email account automatically.

2. Add a New Account:

  • Go to the “File” menu and select “Add Account.” This will open the account setup wizard.

3. Manual Setup:

  • Select the option to set up the account manually. Choose “POP or IMAP” as the account type and click “Next.”

4. Enter Account Information:

  • Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in outgoing emails.
  • Email Address: Enter your SiteGround email address (e.g., email@example.com).
  • Account Type: Select “IMAP” to synchronize your emails across all devices.
  • Incoming Mail Server: Enter mail.example.com (SiteGround email).
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Enter mail.example.com (SiteGround email).
  • User Name: Enter your full email address.
  • Password: Enter the password you created for your SiteGround email account.

5. More Settings:

  • Click on “More Settings” and go to the “Outgoing Server” tab. Check the box that says “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server.”
  • Go to the “Advanced” tab. Set the incoming server (IMAP) port to 993 and select SSL for encrypted connection. Set the outgoing server (SMTP) port to 465 and select SSL for encrypted connection. Click “OK” to save these settings.

6. Test Account Settings:

  • Outlook will test the account settings to ensure everything is set up correctly. If the tests are successful, click “Next” and then “Finish” to complete the setup.

7. Complete Setup:

  • Your SiteGround email should now be connected to Microsoft Outlook. You can send and receive emails using Outlook, and your emails will be synchronized across all devices.
